RST Social with talk: ‘Thames Barges’

This illustrated talk will be given by Stephen Nunn, Antiquarian Researcher from Maldon the home of Thames Barges.
This talk fits in well with Lighters that plied their trade on the River Stour and transferred their loads to and from these barges for seagoing travel.

Thursday 27th February at The Granary, Quay Lane, CO10 2AN

Doors open at 6pm, with optional ‘Fish & Chip’ supper at 7pm, followed by the 1-hour talk due to start at 8pm. The Granary bar will be open during this event.

The food must be pre-booked and will be paid for IN CASH on the night. The closing date for ordering food is 12 noon on Thursday 20th February. Anyone cancelling after this will be charged.
